Please e-mail or call to inquire further about booking Deanna for a clinic in your location. Biomechanics of the Horses’ Gait is a clinic Deanna has given at the University of Maine to educate Equestrian Studies students and others with the ambition of entering the equestrian profession. It is imperative as a veterinarian, horse owner, competitor and judge to analyze the sequence of footfalls within a gait to recognize the purity and quality of the gait or to distinguish lameness or weakness. The Judges' Perspective clinic can be catered to any level of horse and rider, whether it may be the first time out or a seasoned pair. Judges' remarks and numbers may be hard to decipher but with the help of a knowledgeable professional, the competitor can start making improvements for a better test. Backing the Young Horse is a clinic geared towards young or inexperienced horses and their trainers. Deanna has backed countless horses and enjoys seeing progress between the horse and rider. She uses positive reinforcement to make the sessions fun and safe and soon enough the horse will be waiting at the gate, eager to be under the saddle. Balancing the Rider is a clinic useful for any level of rider to achieve better balance with a safe, grounded position using the Aspirant Technique. Deanna teaches the importance and strength of the body so there is no stiffness in the horse from incorrect use of the reins. Balancing the Horse is a clinic for any level pair, whether it be riding deeper into corners, making better serpentine's, leg yielding or flying changes. This session is most beneficial for those who have taken the Balancing the Rider clinic to get the utmost balance from the horse.
